Xbox - Plug and Play OGX-Mini (OGX360)
Xbox - Plug and Play OGX-Mini (OGX360)
The Ogx-Mini is a plug and play device that allows you to Use modern controllers with the original xbox. You can plug your controller in directly via USB or use it wirelessly with an 8bitdo adapter (Not included). While this can be achieved with an off the shelf rp2040 feather and a usb to xbox adapter like this one here, I wanted to make a nice and compact solution that plugs directly into the Xbox controller ports.
The OGX-Mini currently supports the following controllers.
- Original Xbox Duke and S
- Xbox 360, One, Series, and Elite
- Dualshock 3 (PS3)
- Dualshock 4 (PS4)
- Dualsense (PS5, Dualsense Edge should work but it's untested)
- Nintendo Switch Pro
- Nintendo Switch wired (tested with PowerA brand)
- Nintendo 64 USB (experimental, tested with RetroLink brand)
- Playstation Classic
- Generic DInput

Firmware Updating
For updating / reflashing the firmware, you will need a waveshare rp2040-tiny breakout board which you can get here. Remove the pcb from the 3d printed housing and connect the ffc cable to the the rp2040-tiny programmer. Plug it into your PC, press boot / reset on the programmer and drag the new uf2 file over the rp2040.
For v1 (Black PCB) use the OGX-Mini_Pico.uf2 version.
For v2 (Green PCB) use ogx-mini_rp2040-zero.uf2
Custom Shell
I'll be adding more color variations as time goes on but if you'd like to make your shell you're free to do so!
These 3d printed shells were designed by Emaxx and the STLs are available here
